How old do you have to be to rent a car with Budget?


This varies from country to country, but in the US and most other countries, you will need to be at least 21, and under-25s will pay extra. Under-25s will usually be unable to rent certain vehicles, such as luxury cars.

In the US, there is no upper age limit for renting a car with Budget; however, some countries do impose upper age limits, or request a surcharge from drivers over a certain age.


Which cars can you rent from Budget?


Popular Budget rental cars at the lower end of the price spectrum include the Ford Fiesta Sedan and Ford Focus. In addition to these standard cars you would expect from any car rental company, Budget offers vans, SUVs and luxury cars.

The range available will vary from location to location, but you may be able to rent anything from a Ford Mustang to a Jeep.


What documents do I need to rent from Budget?


Definite requirements include a valid driver’s license and a credit card. Debit card payments, if available, may be subject to an identity check requiring proof of address or a flight ticket.

Outside of the US, you will need a passport. You will also need an international driving permit in some locations.
